Meet Our Doctors

A native of Bee County earned her D.D.S. from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School in 1995. That same year this dental school was recognized as the top dental school in the United States. Afterward, Dr. Shelton served her country as a dentist and as an officer in the Navy for 4 years. She received additional training in oral surgery gaining valuable experience providing dental care to sailors and marines. Dr. Shelton has over twenty years of experience as a dentist having served the dental needs of patients in Kingsville, Austin, and Beeville.

Dr. Elizabeth G. Shelton opened Bee Center for Dentistry in September 2010. She provides general dentistry using up-to-date technology including Pano & Digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and the office's newest technology CEREC same day crowns.

Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in biology. He then attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2010. During his time in dental school, he went on a mission trip to Jamaica, which inspired him to enter into public health after dental school. After graduation, Dr. Fletcher worked at a public health office in Levelland, Texas, for three years. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas, in 2013. Dr. Fletcher joined Dr. Shelton at Bee Center for Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Fletcher is a general dentist who will also be focusing on implants, root canals, and surgical extractions.

Dr. Purav Desai graduated from New York University in 2007 with honors on the Dean’s list. To further his education, Dr. Desai was trained in IV sedation, removal of impacted wisdom teeth, complicated extractions, and hospital dentistry at the Seton Hall University Residency Program.

Dr. Desai is a member of the American Dental Association and the Local Dental Society. He continues to further his education by taking numerous continued education courses to provide the most advanced treatment to his patients. Just in 2019, Dr. Desai completed over 200 hours of Dental CE courses.

Outside of the office, Dr. Desai loves watching NFL games and spending time with his wife of 14 years and his 8-year-old son. The two loves of his life are family and dentistry.

Dr. Lanissa Wagner Martinez gratuated with her Doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio in 2005. She has a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Texas State University and a Masters of Science in Biology from UTSA.

Dr. Martinez loves working with children of all ages, and she can offer moderate sedation for children as well. Sedation can help most with anxiety in the dental chair. Dr. Martinez strives for patient comfort by providing a supportive and gentle hand.

She has been practicing General Dentistry for over 17 years. Dr. Martiniz loves to help people out of pain, educating patients and parents, and creating beautiflul smiles. She is also married with two children, ages 19 and 15. They enjoy cooking, going to the beach, and museums.
